“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 3:18a (NASB)
Growth is not an optional luxury for the sincere Christian. When one becomes a Christian, that person realizes how much unlike the Master he or she really is and determines to become more like Him. The road to maturity is long and painful, but the development of the ability to minister to others in the name of Christ is a most satisfying reward.
“But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ.” Ephesians 4:15 (NASB)
