Really – you go on about your pride in being ordained but then you use a picture of yourself in what looks to be a uniform with a gun? Why don’t you use one of your more professional Pastor pictures.

For the record, I was a U.S. Coast Guard reserve Petty Office for 29 years, which did get into some specialized work. The CG’s Public Affairs office took this picture while we were escorting a Liquid Natural Gas Tanker into Boston Harbor, spring 2004. So I assure you that I take very seriously being a pastor, I also took very seriously the other things that God led me to do in my life. God bless and thanks for your input.

Hey “Grammer Check”! First of all “grammar” is spelled with an “a” and not an “e”. Second of all I would much rather sit in a Church pew with a Pastor carrying a pistol behind the pulpit than sitting in a Church where someone who just didn’t get enough hugs as a kid decides you use perishioners for target practice some Sunday.

Your coast guard career is over. You are a pastor now, move on and use one of the many wonderful pictures of you doing that instead. That is the point. God Bless.

Hi, I appreciate your interest, not sure why this is so important, but I do appreciate hearing from you. I have been told that I’m “different”, that I’m not a typical pastor. Church and pastors have acquired a rather, let’s just say, not as masculine as it should be. King David, Joshua, the Bible really is very masculine and I think that I should emphasize that there are many aspects to Christian ministry. I want to emphasize ministry, and also that I have wide experience. That I can minister to people in different walks of life because I’ve lived different kinds of lives. So thank you and you are welcome to stay in touch and I will continue to consider. God bless
